AEP welcomes draft National Policy Statements
The Association of Electricity Producers (AEP) welcomes the Government’s draft National Policy Statements, announced today (9 November). David Porter, CEO of the Association of Electricity Producers commented:
"We welcome the introduction of these draft statements. When they are finally approved, they will help make the planning process for large projects more business-like and they will give more confidence to investors. That is vital when over £100 billion of private capital has to be raised in the next decade to replace ageing power stations and make the transition to greener energy."
