AEP Annual General Meeting, Reception & Lunch - 5 November 2009.

The Association of Electricity Producers Annual General Meeting, Reception and Lunch is an opportunity for the successes and achievements of the past year to be recognised and celebrated and the future to be discussed.

The AGM is a formal meeting for the Association members, which is followed by a lunch for members and their guests.

This year, the AGM and Lunch was held at the Brewery Chiswell Street, London.

Entertainment at this year’s lunch was provided by the talented illusionist, David Penn.

Competition

The Association ran a competition inviting members of the industry and energy students to compose a short poem, limerick, piece of prose or haiku about climate change.

The prize for the winning student was a weeks work experience with one of AEP’s members, Pöyry Energy Consulting.

Jonathan Davidson, a fourth year undergraduate of Electronic Engineering (MEng) at the University of Sheffield, submitted the winning entry. Read it here.

The prize for the industry winner was £1000 to be donated to a charity of their choice.

The winning entry was submitted by Denise Smillie from Scottish Power and she selected Cancer Research UK as the beneficiary of the prize. Read Denise’s winning entry here.
