AEP Annual General Meeting, Reception & Lunch - 4 November 2010

The Association of Electricity Producers held another fantastic Annual Lunch this year, following the AGM. The event was held for the second year at the Brewery on Chiswell Street and attended by over 400 energy industry professionals. Minister for Energy and Climate Change Charles Hendry gave an interesting speech as well as launching DECC’s Statutory Security of Supply Report, which was introduced to Parliament that morning.  Guests also enjoyed a delicious lunch and entertainment from comedian Milton Jones.

AEP received over 70 entries for the competition, which were narrowed down to 10 finalists, featured below. After a lot of debate by the AEP staff and a proportional vote, the winner and two runners up were decided

3rd ‘Working past the rain at sunset’ Jonathan Chan from npower

 

The winner of the AEP photography competition‘Power in a Picture’ was announced at the Association’s Annual Lunch on Thursday 4 November. He has won:

A 16 inch by 16 inch print of his photograph

Nikon Coolpix digital camera

Two tickets to the FA Cup Final, donated by E.ON

£1000 to charity, of which half will be donated to Cancer Research UK and half to Arthritis Research UK
